Truestar Health
The physical rigors of the expedition combined with sub-optimal diets (months without fresh fruits and vegetables) take a toll on Colin and Julie and the team turned to lead sponsor Truestar Health for vitamin and supplement support to round out their nutritional requirements.
One member of Truestar’s extensive team of health experts, Dr. Jean-Jacques Dugoua, ND, devised specific supplement plans for each member of the expedition team and Truestar sent a representative, Garie McIntosh, to St. Lucia (a stopping point on their cross Atlantic row) to hand deliver the Truestar supplements so that the team could use them on the Atlantic Ocean and beyond.
The supplement plans included TrueSTRENGTH, a natural whey protein, which assists with muscle mass and repair after exercise; TrueMSM, a collagen and joint support formula for continuous physical activity; TruePROTECT for basic antioxidant support; TrueRELIEF, a natural anti-inflammatory formula for natural relief of pain and inflammation; and TrueCo-QMelt for cardiovascular support.
Truestar Professional Series Vitamins and Supplements have been formulated by MDs and NDs for safety and effectiveness. Truestar’s pharmaceutical-grade vitamins and supplements contain the highest quality of natural ingredients for superior absorption. Vitamins and supplements are available for over 500 medical conditions.
The ideals of Truestar Health mirror those of the expedition and as Tim Mulcahy, CEO of Truestar Health, explains "Truestar Health was conceived from a vision of helping people all over the world improve their lives daily through a synergistic package of health.”

| Norco
Performance Bikes
Norco Products Ltd has been designing, manufacturing
and distributing award winning bicycles and cycling
products since 1964. Norco has been assembling their
fine bikes in Canada for over 25 years and now has
over 130 different bike models for Canadian, U.S.
and International markets. Norco has also developed
6 innovative proprietary cycling product brands to
compliment its extensive bike line.
Julie and Colin are using Norco VFR 2 commuting bikes. The team plans to average between 200 and 250 km per day, which means it is extremely important to cut back on any unnecessary gear, and to keep the bikes light. The VFR series are durable lightweight bikes designed to be extremely fast, but also comfortable. The bikes will be fitted with Axiom lightweight racks, along with tough-as-nails Axiom featherweight panniers to carry their gear. There's no point having fast, lightweight machines if you're spending half the time fixing them. This doesn't happen with Canadian designed Norco bikes.

Specialized Office Systems
This Vancouver-based company creates specialized practice management software for denturists. While the denturist software business seems to have no relation to adventure, CEO Dean Fenwick saw that running an expedition and a dynamic company are essentially the same. Both require a group of motivated individuals with a shared goal to achieve results that some might believe are impossible. Dean has been instrumental in managing various elements of the expedition.

Iridium Satellite Solutions
There is only one satellite telephone in the world that offers complete global coverage Iridium. Colin used Iridium telephones on his previous expedition through Mongolia and Siberia and the phones provided reliable, clear service at all times.
For Expedition Planet Earth, a reliable satellite connection is more important than ever. The phone will be used to transmit data to update this website with photos and text, to communicate with schools that follow the journey and to contact the media with voice and data transmissions. Most importantly, a reliable phone is a life-saver in the event of an emergency.
Everyone who enjoys monitoring the progress of the expedition owes some gratitude to Iridium for providing the revolutionary technology that enables communication from the most remote corners of the globe.

| | Helly Hansen Helly Hansen is a Norwegian company with over a century's experience producing top-of-the-line clothing for both land and ocean environments. Now an industry-leading maker of rugged sportswear, Helly Hansen earned its reputation by creating tough clothing for working people. Fishers, sailors and outdoorsmen worldwide will speak fondly of the durable, warm clothing Helly Hansen has provided over the decades. Fourteen years ago when Colin worked on a commercial fish boat off the West Coast of Canada, he wore the gear that all the fishermen swore by Helly Hansen. Because fishermen live and work in the elements, they wear only the best protection, and their choice was always Helly Hansen. Colin and Julie are proud to wear Helly Hansen clothing as they row across the Atlantic Ocean and cycle across Europe and North America. | | | Caorda Solutions Inc. Caorda Solutions is a Victoria-based company founded by a collection of like-minded professionals with a passion for helping clients maximize the potential of the Internet. Their core competency is the application of Web technologies in a practical, profitable and effective manner that simplifies and streamlines business processes. Caorda Solutions will support Expedition Planet Earth by providing two essential services. They have created and maintain the interactive map that the public uses to follow the expedition as they circumnavigate the globe. Using GPS co-ordinates the team is able to pinpoint their precise location on the map and post the relevant update, whether it's text, photographic or audio. Caorda has also created the powerful, interactive internet functions required for the School Initiative. They have developed a system in which Iridium satellite phone calls can be digitized and recorded or streamed live to the web. This allows the team to post audio updates as well as host live interviews in which students can e-mail questions to the team. | | | Vancouver Rowing Club The Vancouver Rowing Club is one of the city's oldest athletic clubs. Situated in Stanley Park, it houses 25 rowing shells that members use in the waters of Coal Harbour. The club offers programs such as "Learn to Row", which makes rowing accessable to all levels including beginners. The Vancouver Rowing Club has been a big supporter of the Atlantic Ocean row.
